Our Vision

What to Draw began with a simple problem: staring at a blank page, not knowing what to draw. We've all been there. You want to practice, you want to create, but your mind goes blank.

So we built a database of drawing inspirations. Simple ideas with reference images to get you started. No overthinking, no decision fatigue — just pick something and draw.

Today, What to Draw offers hundreds of curated drawing ideas across different subjects, styles, and difficulty levels. Whether you're warming up, practicing fundamentals, or looking for your next project, there's something here for you.

We have a random idea generator for when you want to be surprised, a text prompt generator for imagination-based practice, and a searchable collection for when you know what you're looking for.

But here's the thing — drawing is better together.

Our vision is to build a community for drawing artists. A place where you can share your work, discover other artists, get feedback, and find inspiration not just from prompts, but from each other.

Think Pinterest, but made specifically for drawing. A space where sketches, studies, finished pieces, and works-in-progress all have a home. Where beginners learn from experienced artists, and everyone helps each other grow.

We want to build a platform where you can:

• Share your drawings and see what others are creating
• Follow artists whose work inspires you
• Get encouragement and constructive feedback
• Participate in drawing challenges with the community
• Build a portfolio of your artistic journey

There are plenty of places to share art online, but most of them prioritize finished, polished work. The algorithm rewards perfection. Quick sketches and practice drawings get buried.

We believe the practice matters as much as the result. A messy gesture drawing has value. A failed experiment teaches something. The hundredth attempt at drawing hands deserves to be seen too.

We're building a place where the process is celebrated, not just the outcome.

Soon you'll be able to share your drawings, get feedback, and connect with other artists here. Leave your email and we'll let you know when it's ready.
